Tip Of The Day!

Applying Your Moisturiser

when applying your moisturiser you want to spread it towards your lymph nodes.
A lymph node is a tiny kidney bean-shaped gland, found in many different areas of the body. Each lymph node is an important part of your immune system, which filters fluids, catching viruses, bacteria, and other unknown materials. Then your unique white blood cells destroy the unwanted materials.

Spreading your moisturiser in long steady movements towards these nodes will help keep down swelling, help to improve the appearance and possibly the condition of your skin while also hydrating your skin with your moisturiser.

Where are the Lymph Nodes i need to use?

blue circles are indicating the position of the lymph nodes

when applying your moisturiser spread it to the closest node!
forehead- just in front of the ears
under the eyes- just in front of the ears
nose and cheeks- just in front of the ears
chin and jawline- just behind the curve in your jaw line
neck-directly underneath your chin and just behind the curve in your jaw

spread the moisturiser in the directions given on the diagram. But for the neck after sweeping up sweep out from underneath your chin to the nodes just behind the curve in your jaw line.
Make sure you use long sweeps with medium but gentle pressure,do this until your moisturiser is rubbed in!

use a good moisturiser!

My favourite moisturiser is active moist in the dermalogica range. Dermalogica's Active Moist, suitable for normal to oily skins, is a lightweight, oil-free lotion for daily moisture protection to actively combat surface dehydration.
